TZLPGA, in collaboration with Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL) and the Association of Tanzania Oil and Gas Services Providers (ATOGS), successfully organized the Energy Connect Conference & Exhibition under the theme “Clean Cooking, Green Energy: Synergy for Innovations in Sustainable Energy.” The event was held at the Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam from 16–18 October 2024.
The conference focused on supporting the Government of Tanzania’s 10-Year Clean Cooking Energy Strategy, which aims to transition at least 80% of Tanzanians to clean energy use by 2034. Key discussions highlighted innovation, investment, and collaboration opportunities necessary to accelerate the adoption of clean cooking and green energy solutions across the country.
In addition, TZLPGA, as a member of the World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA), in collaboration with WLGA, officially launched the Women in LPG (WINLPG) Tanzania Chapter. This initiative seeks to empower and promote women’s participation across the LPG value chain, fostering inclusivity, leadership, and sustainable growth within Tanzania’s LPG industry.
The event was further enriched by the participation of WLGA professionals, who shared global LPG industry insights, best practices, and international perspectives, strengthening knowledge exchange and positioning Tanzania within the global LPG community.
