Dear Members,
Happy New Year to You!
I take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for your enduring commitment to enabling the Association to be fully operationalized in 2023.
Last year, we achieved notable milestone by launching the Association and making it recognizable by our key stakeholders. Association’s participation in REA Clean Cooking implementation through conducting countrywide assessment of institutions to be financed for clean cooking created a co-operating platform with government that positions LPG highly.
The Association also provided professional leading role in LPG standards harmonization for the East Africa region and is well recognized by TBS for its contribution.
The Ministry of Energy as well as EWURA, recognize and appreciate the value of the Association for the industry and its development.
There were still LPG illegal incidents where it is felt that the authorities did not effectively enforce their mandates to curb such incidents. This will continue to be a challenge this year.
We therefore need to join our hands in the Association to work with authorities to address this challenge efficiently and this is going to be one of our keys focus this year among other things. We will also continue to address safety issues through various awareness programs.
As we progress further into 2024, we must incline to our togetherness to propel the Association to deliver its objectives for the benefits of all the industry inclusively.
We remain committed to promote and develop our industry.
Ahsanteni Sana!
