As part of our continued efforts to promote clean cooking, TZLPGA recently visited Cannossa High School in Tegeta – Dar Es Salaam to witness the impact of LPG adoption in institutional kitchens.

The school’s management and kitchen staff shared their positive experiences, highlighting the many benefits of LPG, including:

Their testimony demonstrates how LPG is helping institutions improve operational efficiency while providing a better working environment for cooks and ensuring timely meal preparation for students.

We also commend the Government of Tanzania for its decision to prohibit the use of charcoal and firewood in institutions serving more than 100 people. This bold policy reflects the Government’s strong commitment to protecting the environment, reducing deforestation, improving public health, and accelerating Tanzania’s transition to clean cooking solutions.

Together, we are building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for all Tanzanians.
