TZLPGA was honored to participate in the official launch of the National Clean Cooking Communication Strategy, a key milestone in advancing Tanzania’s clean cooking agenda. During the event, TZLPGA was privileged to actively contribute and lead discussions on several strategic matters related to the LPG industry and its role in accelerating the adoption of clean cooking solutions.

Following the Government of Tanzania’s adoption of the 10-Year Clean Cooking Energy Strategy (2024–2034), there has been a notable increase in commitment from both public and private sector stakeholders. As a result, clean cooking energy usage has risen significantly from 6% in 2022 to 16% in 2025, with LPG emerging as the leading clean cooking fuel, accounting for 9.1% of total adoption.

Looking ahead, the outlook for LPG in Tanzania remains highly positive. With ongoing and planned LPG investment projects, coupled with strong financial and donor support from local and international development partners, the national target of transitioning 80% of Tanzanians to clean cooking energy solutions by 2034 is achievable.

TZLPGA remains committed to working closely with the Government, development partners, and industry stakeholders to support policy implementation, investment mobilization, and public awareness efforts that will accelerate the shift toward clean, safe, and sustainable cooking energy for all Tanzanians particularly the use of LPG.
